The meeting was called to order at 6:33 PM.  20 Members signed in.

Old Business: 

Library Banners-was tabled until this month. Need two banners made (will e-mail size and description).  Bring ideas next meeting or forward to Sharon Vrooman. All members are in favour of making banners.

Empire Quilt Fest-Forms on website for volunteer and quilt registration. Responsible for vendor ribbons, basket contributions,

Website-Need to renew website for the next year. Emily Davis moved to pay $168.00 for website. Seconded by Ginny Schaum

Clean up room after use.

 

New Business:

Patchwork Co. Quilt shop--sale Jan. 11th-15th.  $5.00 per yard, $8.00 for wide

Quilt Zoo: Sale 3, 4 and 5 dollars per yard.

Yardstick: Fabric 50% off

Quilter's Hall of Fame: Change of by-laws

Old Business: 

Library banner ideas: Sharon Vrooman showed two panels she has that can be used.  Ruth will do the lettering. Sue Hess is donating a tension rod.

Empire Quilt Fest: Packets given out for entrants, volunteer sign-up sheets can be turned in to Karen or Colleen, vendor ribbon idea shown and approved by membership.

Quince family quilt committee: Ginny, Diane

Website: officially renewed until Feb. 2019

Warriors in Motion quilts in the Mountain Eagle under the Windham news; 15 quilts donated by Schoharie Valley Piecemakers.

 

New Business:

Suggested that we be listed in My Shopper paper as non-profit organization

Suggested to be listed in The New York Register and the copies would be sent to someone in the Guild and they would bring to the meeting.

A proposal was made for Metal quilt blocks that can be ordered-if the guild orders as a group and purchases a minimum of $250.00 worth we would get a free block to raffle. If interested forward size and type to Stephanie Liddle.

Modern Quilt Presentation by Amelia’s Garden: Modern Quilt Guild meets 2nd Monday of the month at Bethlehem Elm St. Park on Route 32 at 7 pm.  She showed the different types of methods that modern quilts use vs. traditional.
